Thanksgiving is right around the corner and I believe it’s not about what you serve, but how you serve it! With a holiday like Thanksgiving everyone has their traditions; turkey, stuffing, potatoes and pie! I want to show you how to put a twist on the tradish and make this Thanksgiving a total touchdown!
TABLE SETTING
Table Setting:
My favorite thing to do is to take things you already have around your home and turn them into amazing decor! For the table setting I used ribbon from Michaels, bamboo cutlery, and a classic silver charger to add an extra dimension.
Place Cards / Food Flags:
Using asian pears that I had picked up from the grocery store, I was able to make the most adorable place cards and food flags for my tablescape! I took my hot glue gun and added some pine cones, winterberries, moss, and celosia for some extra flare - then I used specialty toothpicks and labels from Paper Source to write all the guests names and all the food items!
CRAN-APPLE SPIKED CIDER
Recipe:
1oz Sagamore Spirit
A ladle of hot apple cider
Splash of cranberry juice
Use cranberries and a cinnamon stick to garnish!
FOR THE KIDS
Milk and Cookies
These milk and cookie jugs are old school and adorable! Your kids will love to wash down their dinner with a refreshing glass of cold milk and a nice chewy cookie! I used chips ahoy chewy chocolate chip cookies to make this but you can use any cookies. I then took the straw and poked a hole through the middle of the cookie and it sat perfectly on top of the jug!
TURKEY FUN BUNS
These Turkey Fun Buns are an amazing brunch item for those of you who eat your Thanksgiving meal in the morning! All you need is cinnamon rolls, bacon, candy eyes, candy corn, and pretzel sticks! These take 3 minutes to assemble and they take the party to the next level!
LITTLE PIE PARTY FAVORS
Who doesn’t like a party favor?! Especially one you can eat! These mini apple pies are a great take home gift for your friends and family. I got the ribbon from Michaels and made my own labels using paper source labels!
