DIY Soda Bottle Sprinkler

This is a great way to recycle those liter soda bottles and turn them into something so fun!

Supplies:

-2 Liter Soda Bottle

-Garden Hose

-¾ in x ¾ in female hose adapter

-Washers

-Thumb Tack

First you will want to clean out the soda bottle, then use thumbtacks to poke holes into the bottle. After that, you will use the hose adapter you bought and the washers to secure the bottle to the hose. Once the bottle is on securely, turn the hose on and you have your very own sprinkler at your service. Your kids will love this!

Duck Duck Splash

The only thing needed for this version of the classic Duck, Duck, Goose - is water! You can use water balloons or even just a cup of water. Act like you are playing regular Duck, Duck, Goose but instead of saying “Goose” say “Splash” and pour the water on that person! Such a fun summer game especially in the heat!

DIY Slip N’ Slide

Supplies Needed:

  • 10X25 foot roll of clear plastic sheeting from Lowe’s.

  • 10-14 pool noodles

  • 30-40nbsp;Landscape Pins

  • A hose with flowing water

  • Tear Free Soap in the brand of your choice (if you want to use dawn make the kids wear goggles so that it doesn’t get in their eyes.

Roll out the sheet of plastic, use the landscape pins to secure It into place and use the pool noodles as a border to keep from sliding off the side. Once you have it set up use a hose to get It going, then to make It even more “slippery” you can use tear-free soap. If you don’t have tear-free soap, you can use Dawn, but be careful and have the kids wear goggles so that it won’t get in their eyes!

Water Balloon Towel Toss

This game is great and so easy! I bought the water balloons from Target, they are super easy to fill with your hose - I would definitely recommend!

Once the balloons are filled up grab a couple of towels and have your kids try to toss the water balloons back and forth!

Hose Limbo

All you need is a hose to recreate this classic game! Instead of using a limbo stick, use your hose and have your kids limbo underneath the stream of water. They could play this for hours!
