Roundup: My Favorite Fall Cocktails

Cocktails I Autumn I Spiked Cider I Barbara Majeski.jpg

It’s no secret that I love a fun and delicious cocktail on a Friday night to ease into the weekend. Lately I’ve been really enjoying a twist on hot toddies by adding fun sugared rims and garnishes.

I get so many requests for recipes, and below I’m sharing three favorites that I’ve been making on repeat this fall. They will definitely take you into the holiday season to be enjoyed all winter long.

Spiked Cranberry Hot Toddy

Simmer 1 liter Cranberry Juice, 2 sticks cinnamon, 1/2 orange pierced 8-10 times, 1/3 c. honey, 1/2 c. mulling spices, and 1 med. piece of whole ginger.

After 20 mins, strain thoroughly and pour into a heat resistant container. Line rim of your glasses with cinnamon and sugar. Add 1 shot of Bulleit Bourbon to your glass and cover with the cranberry juice mixture. Garnish with a slice of orange and a cinnamon stick. Cheers!

Spiked Hot Apple Cider

Heat a 1/2 gallon of apple cider and 1/2 c. honey in a medium pot. light a stick of cinnamon on a heat proof surface and place your glass over it for 30 seconds. Dip the rim of your glass into honey and then crushed graham cracker crumbs. Add 1 part Johnny Drinks Bourbon + 2 parts cider mixture. Add a cinnamon stick for garnish and enjoy!

Campfire Whiskey (Serve Chilled)

To create the Marshmallow Syrup combine 3 marshmallows, 1 c. sugar, 1 c. water, and a tpsvanilla in a small sauce pot to melt.

Add 2 parts whiskey + 1 part syrup to a glass with ice. (I like High West Whiskey)

Toast a couple of marshmallows and use as the garnish.
